# How Refer a Host works

## Overview
The **Refer a Host** program allows existing PadPulse users to invite other property managers and hosts to join the platform. When someone signs up using your referral link and becomes a paying PadPulse customer, you receive a **$25 account credit**.
Referral credits are automatically applied to your account and deducted from a future subscription invoice.


## Access the Refer a Host Page
Navigate to **Refer a Host** to access your personal referral tools.
From this page, you can:
* Copy your unique referral link.
* Share your referral through supported channels.
* Send referral invitations by email.
* Preview the invitation email.
* Track referral status and earned credits.

## Share Your Referral Link
Your unique referral link can be shared with prospective PadPulse users.
You can:
* Copy the link manually.
* Share it through the available sharing options.
* Send it via text message, email, or other communication platforms.
Anyone who signs up using your referral link will be associated with your referral.


## Send Email Invitations
You can invite multiple people directly from PadPulse.
To send invitations:
1. Enter one or more email addresses.
2. Separate multiple email addresses with commas.
3. Preview the invitation email if desired.
4. Select **Send Invites**.
Recipients will receive an email containing your referral link and information about PadPulse.


## Track Referral Status
The bottom of the page displays all of your referrals.
For each referral, you can view its current status, such as:
* Pending
* Completed (when eligible)
Referral statuses update automatically as invited users progress through the signup process.


## Earn Referral Credits
When a referred host becomes a **paying PadPulse customer**, you receive:
* **$25 account credit per successful referral**
Credits are automatically applied to your PadPulse account and deducted from a future billing cycle.


## Important Notes
* Each user receives a unique referral link.
* Referral links can be shared manually or through the built-in sharing options.
* Multiple email invitations can be sent at once by separating email addresses with commas.
* You can preview the invitation email before sending it.
* Referral credits are awarded only after the referred user becomes a paying customer.
* Referral credits are automatically applied to your account and used toward future PadPulse subscription invoices.
