# PadSplit Sync

## Overview
The **PadSplit Sync** feature connects your PadSplit account to PadPulse, allowing your properties, rooms, and members to automatically sync into the platform.
This is one of the first steps new PadSplit hosts should complete when setting up their PadPulse account.


## Before You Begin
When you open the **PadSplit Sync** page, PadPulse automatically assigns a synchronization assistant to your account.
> **Note:** The assigned assistant cannot be changed.
The page includes a guided setup process with step-by-step instructions. Be sure to follow each step carefully, as some permissions require additional verification within PadSplit.


## Connect Your PadSplit Account
To connect your account:
1. Open the **PadSplit Sync** page.
2. Follow the guided setup instructions.
3. Select the link that opens your **PadSplit Team** settings.
4. Invite the assigned PadPulse assistant to your PadSplit account.
5. Assign the assistant to **all properties**.
6. Grant the required permissions.
7. Complete the invitation process.

## Required Permissions
When inviting the PadPulse assistant, assign:
* **Property Admin** access
* **Property Management**
* **Finance Management**
* **Daily Operations.**

These permissions allow PadPulse to sync and manage data from your PadSplit account.
> **Note:** The assistant does not need to be assigned as an owner or operator.


## Two-Step Verification
During the invitation process, PadSplit may require phone verification.
After entering the verification code, you'll need to **repeat the invitation process** because the first attempt does not always save after authentication.
Although this may appear to be a bug, it is expected behavior due to PadSplit's verification process.


## Initial Synchronization
After setup is complete, PadPulse begins importing your data.
The initial sync includes:
* Properties
* Rooms
* Members
Most synchronizations complete within **15–20 minutes**, although larger portfolios may take longer.
As the sync progresses, imported properties and rooms begin appearing on your PadPulse dashboard.


## Sync New Properties
Whenever you add new properties in PadSplit, you'll need to update the assistant's property access.
To sync newly added properties:
1. Open your assigned assistant in **PadSplit Team**.
2. Add the newly created properties.
3. Assign the same required permissions.
4. Save your changes.
5. Return to **PadSplit Sync** in PadPulse.
6. Select **Manual Sync**.
PadPulse will begin importing the newly assigned properties, rooms, and members.


## Manual Sync
Use **Manual Sync** whenever:
* New properties have been added.
* New rooms are missing.
* Recently added members have not yet appeared.
Manual Sync starts a fresh synchronization without reconnecting your account.


## Troubleshooting
If your properties or members do not appear after the expected synchronization period:
* Confirm the assistant has access to all desired properties.
* Verify the required permissions are assigned.
* If phone verification was required, ensure the invitation process was completed a second time.
* Run **Manual Sync**.
If issues continue, contact PadPulse Support using the support chat located in the bottom-right corner of the platform.


## Important Notes
* PadSplit Sync is required for existing PadSplit hosts.
* A synchronization assistant is automatically assigned and cannot be changed.
* The assistant must have Property Admin, Property Management, Finance Management, and Daily Operations permissions.
* PadSplit's phone verification may require repeating the invitation process.
* Initial synchronization typically takes **15–20 minutes**, but larger portfolios may require additional time.
* Use **Manual Sync** after adding new properties or if recently added data has not synchronized.
