Managing Messages on Mobile App
Overview
The PadPulse Mobile App allows you to manage member conversations while you're away from your computer. You can read and reply to messages, resolve conversations, assign team members, use canned responses, schedule messages, and search conversations—all from your mobile device.
Most messaging features available on the desktop are also available in the mobile app.
Access Unresolved Messages
The quickest way to work through new conversations is by viewing Unresolved Messages.
To do this:
- Open the mobile app.
- Navigate to Unresolved Messages.
- Select a conversation.
The selected conversation opens directly in the messaging screen, where you can begin responding.
Resolve or Reopen Conversations
Within a conversation, you can easily manage its status.
You can:
- Mark the conversation as Resolved.
- Reopen a conversation by selecting Mark as Unresolved from the options menu.
This helps keep your inbox organized while allowing conversations to be reopened if additional follow-up is required.
Use Canned Responses
The mobile app supports Canned Responses (saved message templates).
To use one:
- Open a conversation.
- Select the canned response option.
- Choose the desired template.
- The message is automatically populated.
- Review and send the message.
Using canned responses helps maintain consistent communication while reducing repetitive typing.
Schedule Messages
Instead of sending a message immediately, you can schedule it for a future date and time.
To schedule a message:
- Compose your message.
- Select the scheduling option.
- Choose the desired date and time.
- Save the scheduled message.
Scheduled messages appear in the Scheduled tab, where you can:
- Review scheduled messages.
- Edit the scheduled time.
- Cancel a scheduled message.
View Member Information
While viewing a conversation, select the information panel to view additional details about the member.
The member profile includes:
- Contact information
- Registered vehicles
- Emergency contact information
This information is available without leaving the conversation.
Filter Conversations
Use message filters to quickly find conversations that require attention.
For example, you can display:
- Unread messages
- Other filtered message views
Filters help prioritize conversations while working from a mobile device.
View Internal Threads
If internal conversations have been started by tagging teammates, you can expand those threads from within the conversation.
Selecting the Expand Threads option displays internal team discussions alongside the member conversation.
Assign Conversations
From the conversation menu, you can:
- Assign the conversation to a team member.
- Mark the conversation as Awaiting Reply.
Conversations marked as Awaiting Reply appear in the appropriate section of the Team Inbox on the Dashboard.
Manage Messaging Rules
The mobile app also allows you to access and edit:
- Messaging Rules
- Canned Responses
Although these features are generally easier to manage on a desktop computer, they remain available from the mobile app when needed.
Search Conversations
The built-in search tool allows you to find conversations containing specific keywords.
For example, you can search for:
- A specific word or phrase
- Messages sent within a selected date range
Matching terms are highlighted, and you can move between search results using the navigation arrows.
