PadPulse Devices Overview, Smart Locks and Thermostats
Overview
The Devices section provides a centralized dashboard for managing your connected smart locks and thermostats. Once your devices have been connected to PadPulse, you can monitor device status, manage access codes, review activity, and view property-wide device information from a single location.
Accessing the Devices Dashboard
Navigate to the Devices tab to view an overview of all connected smart locks and thermostats.
The dashboard displays:
- Connected properties
- Assigned members
- Room assignments
- Lock access codes
- PIN names
- PIN numbers
- Code start dates
- Last time a code was used
Update Lock Code Names
If your smart lock code names are not already associated with the correct member, you can update them directly from the Devices dashboard.
Select Update to push the member's room number and name to the lock, making it easier to identify access codes when reviewing lock records.
View Operations Access
The Operations section displays vendors who have access to your properties.
For each vendor, you can view:
- Assigned properties
- PIN number
- Vendor category
This provides a quick overview of operational access across your portfolio.
Manage Smart Locks
The Smart Locks section displays all connected smart locks.
For each property, you can view:
- Number of rooms
- Number of connected locks
- Lock status
- Battery level
- Online or offline status
You can also filter locks by:
- Bedroom
- Common area
- Admin lock
- Gateway disconnected
- Battery level below 20%
These filters help identify locks that may require attention.
Manage Individual Locks
Select any smart lock to view additional details.
From the lock details page, you can:
- View all access codes
- Edit access codes
- Revoke access codes
- View the member assigned to the lock
- Manually unlock the lock
- Mute low battery alerts
- Review lock activity
Low Battery Notifications
Each room lock can be associated with a specific member.
When a lock's battery falls below the configured threshold, PadPulse automatically notifies the assigned member, reminding them to replace the batteries before the lock loses power.
Low battery alerts can also be muted if needed.
Review Lock Activity
Each smart lock includes an activity log showing:
- Access code usage
- Last synchronization time
- Recent lock activity
The activity log can be refreshed to display the latest information.
View Thermostats
The Thermostats section provides a high-level overview of all connected thermostats.
For each thermostat, you can view:
- Current status
- Online or offline state
- Current temperature
If additional thermostats need to be connected or configured, selecting the Thermostats section will take you to the appropriate settings page.
Device Configuration
Smart lock setup and initial configuration are completed using the manufacturer's mobile application.
PadPulse does not perform the initial lock setup.
Settings such as Auto Lock must also be configured through the lock manufacturer's app during setup.
Once connected, PadPulse provides ongoing management and monitoring for supported devices.
