Setting Up Team Member Roles and Permissions in PadPulse
Overview
The Team Members section allows you to invite users to your PadPulse account, assign roles, and control access to specific features and property groups.
Permissions can be managed through role profiles or customized for individual team members.
Understanding Role Profiles
Role Profiles allow you to create reusable permission sets that can be assigned to multiple team members.
For example, you may create a role profile for:
- Accountants
- Property Managers
- Operations Staff
- Maintenance Coordinators
Each role profile can include specific permissions and access levels based on the responsibilities of that position.
Role profiles help streamline the process of adding and managing team members.
Create a Role Profile
- Navigate to Team Members.
- Select the option to create a new role profile.
- Enter a name for the role.
- Configure the desired permissions.
- Assign access to specific property groups if needed.
- Save the role profile.
Once created, the role can be assigned to future team members.
Invite a Team Member
- Navigate to Team Members.
- Enter the team member's email address.
- Enter their name.
- Choose a role:
- Admin
- Member
- Custom Role Profile
- Review or adjust permissions as needed.
- Send the invitation.
The user will receive an invitation email to join your PadPulse account.
Configure Individual Permissions
In addition to role profiles, permissions can be customized for individual users.
Permissions can be assigned:
- By feature area
- By property group
- By specific access level
This allows you to tailor access based on each team member's responsibilities.
Manage Existing Team Members
After a team member accepts their invitation, you can:
- View assigned roles
- Change role assignments
- Review permissions
- Apply a different role profile
- Remove access when necessary
Configure Booking Request Notifications
PadPulse allows you to select which team members receive booking request notifications.
To update notification recipients:
- Open the Team Members section.
- Locate the booking notification settings.
- Select the team members who should receive booking request alerts.
- Save your changes.
Removing Team Members
If a team member is removed from your account:
- Their access to your team will be removed.
- Their PadPulse user profile will remain active.
- When they log in, they will see that they are no longer associated with a team account.
Important Notes
- Role Profiles simplify permission management by allowing reusable permission sets.
- Permissions can be assigned at both the role and individual user level.
- Access can be limited by property group.
- Booking request notifications can be configured for specific team members.
- Removing a team member does not delete their PadPulse user account.
